I'm an Ofsted registered childminder. And I live in the bedwell area of Stevenage walking distance to fairlands vally park .
My name is Cheryl Robinson I’m 30 years old .I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 10 years now. I have 2 children of my own, their names are Shannon who is 9 years old and Gwen- Rose who is 4 years old, Stevenage is a nice quite area with many activities and groups to go to with the children as well as having a nice park nearby were the children can feed the ducks/go to the sprinklers in the summer.I have 2 cats that mainly like to venture out during the day
I run a varied day for the children in my care with lots of activities such as cooking and arts and crafts, free play, singing etc i also have a spacious garden for the children to play in when the weather allows
I am available for local school runs from lodge farm and camps hill school and nursery I will also consider nursery pickups from other nearby schools as long as the nursery pick up times do not clash with lodge farm pick up times
We go on regular trips (weather permitting) to places such as monkey bizness, the park and local playgroups I aim to take the kids to a playgroup at least twice a week, sometimes more, and with these playgroups we take the children on seasonal outings i also arrange plenty of trips out with the children during school breaks .
My fees cover playgroup entry fees but any trip fees are payable by the parents.
I have plenty off experience in caring for children as I spent half a school year working in a nursery, and the other half working in the reception class as work experience when I was studying for my NVQ2 in child care and education as well as being a childminder for the past 10 years .
I have completed an introduction to childminding course, I also have my NVQ in levels 2& 3 in childcare and education plus i have completed a first aid for young children and a safe guarding children course these are retaken every 3 years to keep me fully informed and up to date with the latest procedures to follow. I also regularly attend various other one-day courses do with childcare and working with parents.
I also used to be a sitters babysitter although I do not work for them at present as I feel my spare time should be spent with my family.
